School Program

Student life at Akothee Academy Comprehensive Day and Boarding school, is a rich and vibrant experience.

At Akothee Academy, we are not just educators; we are mentors, guiding children on a transformative journey towards becoming well-rounded, confident, and compassionate grownups.

Striving to provide a well balanced spiritual, academic and social well-being, students are encouraged to both serve and participate in and beyond our community.

The School opens on Monday through Friday except on Public holidays.

School Timings

We have both the full and half-day programs as follows:

Full Day: 7.30am – 3:10pm
Half Day: 7.30am – 12:30pm (for the 2 – 3 year olds’)
only for parents that can pick their child

Please note that the Half day children should be picked at 12:30pm while the full day at 3:30pm at latest.

If someone different from known parent/guardian is to collect your child on any day, please inform us in advance or send a collect note with a child.

Meals

Our meals provide a balanced and diverse range of nutritious options. Students will enjoy meals such as Rice and beans, Ugali with beef and vegetables, Pilau, Bolognese, Pojo with chapati and vegetables, and Githeri with a side of vegetables and tea.

Our carefully curated menu aims to cater to various tastes while ensuring that students receive the essential nutrients needed for their overall well-being.

Uniforms

Akothee Academy requires students to wear a specific uniform that promotes unity and reflects the school’s values. The uniform includes:

  • White, short-sleeved shirts with a point collar and the Akothee Academy crest on the chest pocket.
  • Plaid bottoms (red, white, and black pattern) – shorts for boys (just above the knee) and knee-length skirts for girls.
  • A matching plaid tie or similar neckwear.
  • White, knee-high socks with horizontal stripes in the academy’s colors.
  • Black, formal shoes.
